Our Orquídeas de San Pedro Lodge is located in the Cultural Zone of the Manu National Reserve, in the middle of the Cloud Forest at 1700 m.a.sl. (5100 feet).
Facilities
Rustic, yet comfortable, the Orquídeas de San Pedro lodge can host groups of up to 36 people in double rooms with comfortable beds, linens and mosquito nets. This 36 people limit was set expressively to curb the lodge’s environmental impact on the area. We have a screened dining room and kitchen, shared bathrooms with hot water, an hammocks overlooking the surrounding rainforest. Electricity is provided at night by a generator.
Trails
San Pedro boasts a 5-km trail system around the lodge. Visitors are encouraged to use the trails whenever they can, always under the supervision of our experienced guides.
A note about your health
Manu National Park is not an endemic area for malaria or yellow fever, but we recommend using insect repellent. River water is not recommended for human consumption. Purified water will be provided at our lodges. We have daily radio communication available with our Cusco main office.
